Help us to encourage your community to answer the survey!
When you do the math, it’s easy to see what an accurate count of residents can do for your community.
* It affects the numbers of seats your state occupies in the U.S. House of Representatives.
* Provide funding for better infrastructure.
* Increase services such as rescuing disaster victims, disease prevention, market research, locate pools of skilled workers and more.
In fact, the information the census collects helps to determine how more than $400 billion dollars of federal funding each year is spent on infrastructure and services like:
* Job training centers
* Senior centers
* Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
* Emergency services
* and others
Common Pathways has worked with the local and regional representatives of the U.S. Census Bureau to produce 13 banners in both English and Spanish with encouraging messages for residents to take the Census in the coming months. There is one banner for each CHNA 8 town (see Towns list at the bottom of this email) and several for the City of Worcester, one of which will be displayed in front of downtown’s City Hall soon.
Common Pathways would like to ask an organization from each of the CHNA 8 towns to host their banner and move it periodically to several public areas in town before and throughout the duration of the Census administration. We need your help to let people know the importance of this undertaking!
Look for these banners around town!
